CLASSWORK
8th Grade Math (Deur) -
This week we will wrap up our study of functions of equations. Due to 8th grade MAP Testing 3 days this week and the 8th grade Shadow Day on Thursday our Math class times will look different. On Monday we will do some Booklet Review activities in class. On Tuesday, we will have a short, open book/note/use a partner “test” on Functions. On Friday, we will start a short unit on Volume. Due to all the extra things this week the 7th grade and 8th grade schedule will not always line up. My 7th grade students should check out Google Classroom on days that the schedules do not align.
Social Studies(Kapenga)--Practice memorizing the countries in Africa. Also, please read the following informational text article about the factors that led to the Scramble for Africa, a period of rapid colonization of the African continent by European powers between 1880 and 1900. I'd like you to complete this assignment as homework before Thursday's class.
